"When I visited this dermatology practice I was seen by Katherine Saragosa NP. Unfortunately, my experience with her was not a positive one. She lacked the skill and knowledge to diagnose and treat my condition properly. She performed a biopsy and left me with a painful open wound, and downplayed how big the scar would be. Despite telling her my extensive medical history, her having access to my medical records and all of the types of treatment that I had already tried for a very long period of time while waiting for the appointment, she insisted that I do another round of steroids after I was not responding to any. I also informed her about the timeline of the rash and when it appeared, which was after receiving the Pfizer vaccine followed by a Covid infection two months later. It is important for healthcare providers to be aware of the possible side effects of the vaccine and Covid, take patients seriously, and to take them into consideration when making a diagnosis. She completely ignored the facts in front of her and never gave a valid reason why she thought I had Tinea versicolor instead. She misdiagnosed my condition, claiming it was Tinea versicolor when the biopsy she did actually showed Pityriasis rosea and still insisted on a course of treatment that does not help Pityriasis rosea. This kind of misdiagnosis can be considered as medical malpractice and should be taken seriously."
