Welcome to the Comprehensive Behavioral Health Model (CBHM), located at 443 Warren Street, Boston, Massachusetts. As a dedicated branch of the Behavioral Health Services department within the Boston Public Schools (BPS), we are committed to fostering the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students through our multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS). Our team is comprised of 107 skilled school psychologists and pupil adjustment counselors/school social workers, all working collaboratively to enhance the educational environment across all Boston Public Schools.
At CBHM, we provide direct student services such as counseling and assessment, ensuring that each student receives the personalized support they need. Our involvement extends to systems-level services, including facilitating and participating in critical school teams like the student support team and climate team. We play a vital role in the district crisis team, offering essential support to school communities during significant crises.
Our commitment to excellence in school psychological services has been recognized with the NASP Excellence in School Psychological Services Proficiency Award, highlighting our effective and sustainable infrastructure for supporting students' behavioral health. We partner with various organizations to strengthen the resources available to our students and schools, ensuring a robust support system.
For parents, we offer a comprehensive range of resources, including counseling, educational materials, and support groups, to assist in navigating and supporting their child's mental health journey. Additionally, we provide school staff with extensive training and consultation services to enhance their ability to identify and address students' mental health needs effectively.
