"Kathy Joy was a revelation. After four hellish weeks of near-constant vertigo (both the spinning kind and the see-saw kind) I was ready to request a medically-induced coma. Overkill? Not if you've had intense vertigo. Meclizine was ineffective. A well-intentioned resident tried the Epley and made it worse. Prednisone was the only thing that sort of worked, but long-term use wasn't an option. I very rarely write online reviews. I think they're stupid. Who has the time for this? Who cares about my opinion? And yet here I am, in praise of Kathy Joy, because everyone suffering from BPPV should know there's a way out, and it begins with Kathy Joy. Her assessment was spot-on, her manner was kind, funny, patient, and smart. In three sessions, coupled with following her at-home exercises, my vertigo reduced by approx. 80%. One month after seeing her, my vertigo resolved. It's been nearly a year and I'm vertigo-free. Bonus: I have better balance now than before I got BPPV. Kathy helped me retrain my vestibular system. She's amazing. No need to keep gilding the lily. Thank you, Kathy."
"KathyJoy is'an outstanding therapist! I followed her from south shore to Boston. I highly recommend Kathy Joy .Kathy listens to your concerns and follows up with thoughtful questions'and recommendations . All these recommendations'are extremely helpful. Her therapy sessions are thorough and done with a calm tone. Kathy explains what to expect from the therapy maneuvers. She keeps you calm as you are going through the session with her. Kathy Joy calls you within 24 hours to be sure you are feeling better and following her suggestions which are on a written paper that she has sent you home with. Kathy Joy is the ultimate professional. There is no one better than Kathy Joy with her expertise and calming skills. I highly recommend Kathy Joy. From MargaretDevaney (patient). May 2023 ."
"I had Kathy Joy as my vestibular therapist at Health South in Brockton, MA. She is awesome. I am doing these exercises everyday since she taught me. I appreciate you and everything you did for me. Forever grateful, Deborah"
"Kathy Joy is a brilliant vestibular physical therapist! Don't know what that is? Well, if you are dizzy or have balance issues or have had ear surgery (like I did) and your "feet are not on the ground" then run (carefully) to Kathy Joy at Mass Eye and Ear. She will inspire you, build confidence and maybe even fix all your issues! She's a rock star extraordinaire!!"
"I would strongly recommend Kathy Joy as a vestibular physical therapist. Not only is she experienced in dizziness and vertigo issues, she is able to help determine the source of the problem and suggest exercises and maneuvers to eliminate the symptoms. After I experienced vertigo for over 2 weeks, I made an appointment with Kathy at Mass. Eye and Ear, Longwood and she was able to pinpoint the problem and send me home with exercises. After following the routine for several days, my dizziness was gone! Thank you, Kathy Joy!"
