"Dr Kim is always really caring and very respectful. Always help me with my questions and it’s very patient. I have been seeing her for 3 years now."
"Their saffs are careless and very rude. I had new health insurance a few months ago. Because I had a regular check-up yesterday, I called a month ago to update my new health insurance information. I asked if they accepted my new health insurance, and they said yes. The office staff asked me all the information and then told me that the update was complete. After arriving at the hospital yesterday, the hospital staff asked for my physical card. I gave them my new insurance card, and they checked the information on the front and back of the card again. I met the doctor and told her that I had new health insurance because I had not received any benefits from my old health insurance for a year. She said she only has the same old health insurance information on her computer. I had to go out again, and my insurance wasn't updated at all. They said they accepted my new insurance until April, but not from May. But, I called them in October, one month ago!! In addition, yesterday, I handed them my physical card. They are so incompetent and careless. Additionally, I would like to talk about my experience at this hospital from a year ago to yesterday. At my regular check-up last year, my doctor asked me to take a blood test, and she said it would be better if I was fasting. I said that a blood test was possible because, due to the nature of his job, I could only eat dinner. It was over 3 PM at that time. I went to the office staff. They got already doctor's order on the screen, and she said, "Are you fasting now?" and I answered “Yes”. She was murmuring her colleague, "She doesn't understand what I am talking about." She asked me again. "No food?, No eat?" I was a little offended but decided to speak as long and politely as possible in English. FYI, I am an Asian woman, lived in the United States for 20 years, and studied graduate school here. "I don't eat anything so far. I am fasting now." The staff again said to the co-worker next to her, “How can this woman not eat anything until after 3 o’clock?” I don't know what this is. When I told the doctor, she said there was no problem. Also, I called more than 3 times from October 2022 to October 2023 to say that my old medical insurance was not covered. I had to pay more than $800 for a blood test and about $100 per month for diabetes medication. When I asked them how to reduce drug costs, they said, "It's not my business." When I said that I thought the medicine was abnormally expensive, she said "I don't care." A year later, I learned from my doctor yesterday that this medicine can be purchased at Walmart for $10 with a doctor's prescription. I am not sure whether this is not discrimination or not. I explained this doctor, and she said this is just cultural differences. But I was not pleased to hear it. Rather it was painful. They are incompetent, careless, and very rude."
"Rude front office staff. Waited a half hour in the patient room for a 5 minute physical exam. Got charged a $50 copay even though it was for preventative care. I called to see what the charge was for and they said it was because the doctor and I discussed my anxiety which isn’t covered under preventive care… Are you kidding me?? Anyway, I’ll be looking for a new doctor"
"My sister went to the ER because her ankles randomly swelled and she couldn't walk. Even though the bloodwork from the ER came back normal, Dr. Kim recklessly and lazily prescribed a general antibiotic without seeing my sister despite her compromised immune system and no signs of infection in the bloodwork. She wouldn't see her for a follow up despite multiple days of pleading through pain over the phone for an appointment. She couldn't walk for a very painful week and the rheumatologist, who we independently saw, resolved the issue in minutes and apologized on Dr. Kim's behalf, noting that my sister could've torn her stomach using the prescribed meds and the final diagnosis wasn't complicated given her immunity history. Dr. Kim should be ashamed of her laziness and I do not recommend going to her practice."
"Dr. Kim is absolutely AMAZING. SHE LOOKS AT YOU AS A WHOLE AND RESPECTS AND VALIDATES ANY OF YOUR SYMPTOMS IN A VERY COMPREHENSIVE way. She prioritizes your needs. Dr. Kim has integrity, wisdom, knowledge, open minded. She's not your typical "conventional puppet" that's brainwashed in the medical community. She is a true blessing for my life. May God bless her abundantly."
