"Dr. Rohan gave me surgery and procedures I didn't really need, and performed extra procedures while I was under that I did not agree to or know about until I got a second opinion!!! I've had nothing but problems since my surgery, far more problems breathing than before. He also gave me a septal perforation. Very depressed about it wish I'd never gotten surgery, especially by someone so dishonest. When it comes to sinus surgery, I've learned that less is more. The structures in the nose are there for a reason. But he doesn't seem to feel that way. I now have empty nose syndrome and will have to pay thousands more out of pocket to fix this hole now too. Dr. Rohan has ruined my life. EDIT: I want my nose back. I've been disabled and chronically ill because I can't breathe right for going on two years now. It's due solely to my surgery/procedures. I was healthy before. If your symptoms are mild, intermittent, and manageable with medication and treatment DO NOT GET THIS HORRIBLE SURGERY. I wish I were dead on a daily basis. I'm not the same person I was before. I was a healthy, happy human and now I am chronically ill. Nothing can get my nose back I'm permanently maimed. Worst decision OF MY LIFE. LISTEN TO ME IF YOU WANT TO LIVE A GOOD LIFE STAY AWAY FROM ENTS. PERIOD. ESPECIALLY THIS ONE. EDIT: Dr. Rohan used radio frequency to reduce my 'swell bodies', which had swelled up after a post-operative infection, merely 3 MONTHS after my septoplasty procedure. In the literature, ENTs still do not fully understand the role of the septal swell body, and most do not recommend surgery on them, considering it too aggressive as they play a role in humidification and regulating air flow. When I came in for my 3 months follow up, complaining of dryness and a noisy whistle (from the perforation which I had not been told about yet), they saw my swell bodies and immediately set me up for an in office procedure that day. I was made to feel like these were abnormal (they're very normal), was not given a steroid or something to reduce them medically first, but immediately put into a room and they were burned. Since that day, I've had all the symptoms of empty nose syndrome, and I will never be the same again. I went in for a simple procedure to fix a small, localized deviated septum high up in my nasal cavity. I left with: all available cartilage removed (only a border of less than a cm left), plus some bone removed, inferior turbinates reduced by 50%, outfractured and the fronts cut into with scissors, FESS (not indicated as I never complained of sinus infections or headaches once), swell bodies obliterated, and a small anterior septal perforation. I trusted Dr. Rohan with my body. I trusted in his expertise. And now, I've lost the life I used to have. Forever I will be dealing with nasal problems. Even after my second surgery to repair the perforation, breathing does not feel normal. I get dry air at the back of my throat. I can't feel my breathing. I often feel congested. No sense of smell. Poor sleep. And I have PTSD and depression. Dr. Rohan used me as a science experiment, and then when I had issues I was made to wait MONTHS to be seen or to see the nurse practitioner. He, and everyone in that office, never cared about me as a person and a human being. I was seen as simply an object and a paycheck. I will never be the same again. Please, save yourself. I beg you."
"I had surgery in May 2022 with this "doctor". He murdered the happy, healthy, normal person I was, and now daily I struggle to live. He gave me ENS, a septal perforation, and valve collapse as well as overresected my cartilage which gives me a saddle nose appearance. I cannot breathe without pain or discomfort. I think about suicide all the time. I cannot accept living in hell like this after what was supposed to be a "routine" septoplasty and turbinate reduction. I didn't need the turbinate reduction, nor the FESS (holes made in my skull) either. Oh I also had a post-op infection he nearly refused to treat, and instead burned my nose with radiofrequency AGAIN at 3 months post op. I now have ENS and a collapsing, weak, horrid looking nose. I breathe worse than ever in my life. I'm a shell of the person I was. I hope God takes me soon as I don't want to live to see 80 with these inescapable, horrid, SURGEON-CAUSED, issues. I couldn't take it. Avoid him at all costs."
"I feel so beyond lucky to have found Dr. Wijewickrama - his expertise, caring, and calming nature are unmatched. I recently was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and he explained the best path forward - I could tell he genuinely cared about me and the treatment plan he created was the same plan he’d provide a family member with. He performed my first surgery - a partial lobectomy of my thyroid, and it went so well. The pain was minimal when I woke up and he was meticulous - we looked at my new scar for the first time today and it quite literally looks like a small scratch on my neck. We’re going to remove the other half soon for preventative reasons - Dr. W is always cautious and I am so thankful for that. He never wrote off any of my concerns - he believed in me from the very beginning and I am so glad we were able to catch this cancer early. What an amazing doctor and person, cannot say enough good things ☺️"
"Dr. Wijewickrama is the best. I'm continually impressed with his knowledge and skill. His compassion and professionalism helped make an extremely difficult road, including multiple surgeries and cancer diagnosis/treatment, easier to traverse. He has my best interest at heart and the expertise necessary to advance me to the best possible outcomes. If you're looking for an ENT doctor who truly cares about his patients and has the skill to treat them, I highly recommend Dr. W."
"Staff is courteous and gets back to you in a timely manner. As far as Dr Wijewickrama himself, he is one of the most caring and well mannered persons any one would want to deal with. His soft voice is so reassuring. I could go on and on. He is wonderful."
