"Doctors were great.Nurses need to be trained to have compassion and Have a Better bedside manner I've never been to e r where the nurses were so miserable And they really didn't do much for me.I think management needs to look into this"
"This place is the worst of all is really disappointed know we have a place that we think we can get answers and well The way they work is disorganized I don't understand how is it that you go to emergency room and you been the only one there have to wait for hours for they can take your information and then more wait so they can start seeing you (waiting for hours on front and then inside) and no just that you have to wait until the doctors arrive because their start a 8:00 am . Really in a emergency room? Not matter how bad you feel you rather go home Don't give answers they guess give you pills and send you home and the instructions always are same ( Call your primarycaresee your your doctor) even though your doctor told you to go to emergency"
"This hospital is the worst there is I went at 8 AM today With severe coughing, nausea, vomiting , fever and severe throat and stomach pain they took me and my legal guardian information and made us wait over two hours in the waiting room we were called in and the nurse took my temperature gave me a pill for the fever and then told us to wait outside again after an hour my legal guardian went and asked when they were gonna call us the girl at the desk on her phone on Snapchat and was very rude and said sorry I can’t help you sit back down and wait for your turn least to say I was disgusted finally after another 45 minutes, they brought us back in to get another waiting room and made us sit there for another two hours at this point I had been in the ER for about 5 hours when another nurse finally came in and all she did was give me another pill and told me the doctor would be right with me. Least say the doctor didn’t came for another 45 minutes he said the following. “ it looks like you might have the flu, but we’re not gonna test you for the flu because there’s no point.” he gave me another pill and was like wait here we’re gonna get you x-rays another 30 minutes went by and after I got the x-ray done, he came in and said honestly, you look perfectly fine, but a professional has not looked at it so what we’re gonna do we’re gonna give you some prescription pills and we’re gonna send you on your way home. Will let you know if anything. Least to say these are some of the least caring staff I have ever ever seen I am currently still laying in bed, coughing and still vomiting. I spent six hours in the ER for a few pills in the prescription so please if you and your love ones need emergency care go to any other place. This is the absolute worst there is.."
"Sometimes you need an ER, and Lawrence General is my favorite. I've been there by ambulance for a stroke, and I've driven myself there with an ulcer painful enough to make me faint, and with a kidney stone which ended in surgery on a Sunday. Sure, they often get slammed, and when that happens, wait times increase. They can only do what they can do. But I've found those wait times to be worse at other local hospitals, and if you're really a time-sensitive emergency, they get you right in, and they move quickly to labs and imaging. The doctors and staff are super competent. They are always willing to refer and transport if they think you'll do better elsewhere/Boston. Every time I go, I am impressed by everyone there. They handle chaos with grace and compassion, and they truly are a team - I never see anything but mutual respect between doctors and nurses, first responders, PAs, people who push the gurneys, and janitorial services. Not that I'm in a hurry to go back - no one wants to have a medical emergency. But it's nice to know we have such a wonderful local hospital if I need them."
"VERY SMALL. AVOID unless u have no choice!!!!!!!!!!!! Even then think about other options. It can not handle the load of sick people that come here. There are 20 chairs and on average 30 to 40 people waiting. After about 40 minutes they take u in write make a chart for u take blood then send u back to waiting room. Then an hour later call u in to bill you. There it was 5 hrs before I got admitted in. Then I was in the hallway getting an IV... the nurses and doctors are nice and helpful but SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED!! While there I saw a guy with a lip torn off who the receptionist tried to ask to verbalize his information. Then a baby who was profusely nonstop vomiting from drinking chlorine pool water who waited 6hrs to be seen.... A guy came in with a messed up leg and he was waiting 7hrs for test results ( which they said they release unless he waited there) Then even if u get a room they will kick u oit if someone better gets there. I saw one lady get told to leave the room and go stand in a corner of the hallway cuz they needed the room. I was in this emergency room for 10 hrs... all I saw was receptionist that don't care. Everyone standing around. Wheelchair shortage so injured people were limping inside.... very very little parking.... Avoid unless ur bleeding everywhere ( 2 people with severed fingers were seen fairly quickly after the receptionist made them fill out paperwork...) I saw one lil old lady who had blood taken out done soo badly that she was bleeding profusely onto the floor. Her daughter had to get a nurse to redress the wound. I can't say it enough save ur money and ur time go to any hospital emergency room that isn't here...."
