Reviews
"It was a very interesting tour and history of the Belcourt. The young man giving the tour was enthusiastic and willing to answer any questions. He will explain why there wasn't a lot of period furniture. Due to this I only gave it a 4 star because some of it was distracting like a custom motorcycle right as you walk into one of the beautiful rooms. It and some of the more eclectic pieces would have been better suited for the big room where you enter. Also posters on the walls instead of vintage art. Interesting to see anyway. Plenty of parking on site."
"The architect of this mansion is really something to marvel at. Beautifully designed and decorated. The chimney’s were my favorite part! Definitely a must-see when in Newport, Rhode Island"
"Surprisingly interesting and beautiful. We took the Ghost Tour and the tour guide was great! Passionate and personable. We’ve toured the other properties and it was great to have an actual guide and not a recording. This property is a cool blend of past history and current efforts to restore and preserve history. This tour will make your Newport property visits complete."
"I have been to all of the Newport mansions and find Belcourt among the most interesting. Far less regal than the other Gilded Age mansions and more interesting more recent history. The tour guide was phenomenal and made our hour+ tour feel very personalized. Really so much fun. Make sure you sit in the “haunted chair” if given the opportunity!!"
"I am really not sure, if this house is genious or an interiour design catastrophy. A mixture from greek, asian, french medival, gothic and many more. Both, Oscar Wilde and Attila the Hun would equally feel at home here. In any case, it's worth a visit."
