Reviews of Goat Island Lighthouse
"Spectacular view and very relaxing place to sit with the view of the bay. This lighthouse was difficult to find. It was behind the hotel. We had to park in the parking lot to the side of the hotel and walk a path behind the hotels to the lighthouse but very worth it. Not a lot tourist."
"Fantastic view, beautiful place to go and just relax. It’s king of hard to find the “entrance”, I think it’s inside the hotel property. You should go by walking following the coast, cross the hotel deck and keep walking until the lighthouse."
"Spectacular view of the the Newport bridge and the Bay. spectacular sunset scenery with complimentary chairs. They have out here for you. also a great view of the historic houses on the water and the humongous sale ships and the ship yard across the way. . this is a most definitely must stop if you are in the area."
"Spectacular views all around the island. The lighthouse is not open to the public, but it’s worth a visit as you can get really close and just enjoy the view of the Newport bridge. Also you can see the cruise ships that come to Newport up close. There is a large hotel on the island. There are plenty of chairs and benches, but I would assume once the season really kicks off they will be taken. It’s a beautiful to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet."
"While the lighthouse is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. It's almost impossible to find the trail to get to the lighthouse. Idk if it's on hotel property or what. But you need to walk to the farthest back corner of the parking lot, near the pavilion in the back. Walk along the outer most path, tucked away behind the hotel(between rooms and the water) past the pool and bar. And we never found the goats."
