"Don't know why they say the arch .its a spot inside the old rocky point great view of the bay"
"A cool piece of history within Rocky Point..."
"Love Rocky point! Clean and and an awesome place to go for a walk!"
"Small public beach and grassy park. Its a quick walk from the car parking. Beach was okay, I didn't see anyone in the water. The grassy area would be nice for a picnic. The arch was huge and interesting from a history point of view. Lots of wild herbs in the grass and the woods along the walkway. Good place for foraging."
"This massive sixty-foot arch began its life in New York City during the 1964 World’s Fair. This arch was one of eleven “archways to understanding” used as an electronic billboard. The arch lost its electronic billboard after the fair and spent several years in Chicago, IL. The arch arrived in Rocky Point some time after 1949, when Vincent Ferla, Sr. purchased the amusement park. Today, it's a great meeting point for families."
