Exciting News: Beaches Fully Open!
We are thrilled to announce that our refuge beaches are now fully open to the public. After a successful nesting season, with 50 pairs of plovers and 44 chicks fledging, we have lifted all beach closures. Thank you for your patience and support in protecting these precious species.

"Great place for birding."
"One of the most underrated places in Mass in my opinion, and perhaps that's for the better. Beautiful sandy beaches, boardwalks and trails in the dunes, the trees, and the marshes. A couple of observation towers. It's a nice place for cycling, too, with the Newburyport commuter rail station nearby. Note that it costs $5 to enter for a car and $2 for a bike, and it's cash only."
