Welcome to Maplecroft Farm Trail, a serene escape nestled within a 250-acre working farm in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Located along Argilla Road, our picturesque trail offers a 1.5-mile journey through the heart of New England's natural beauty. As you traverse the trail, you'll be surrounded by lush agricultural fields, charming farm roads, tranquil marshes, and vibrant meadows.

Maplecroft Farm is a treasured landscape protected by conservation easements, ensuring its beauty and biodiversity for generations to come. As a working cattle farm, we kindly remind visitors to stay on the marked trail and leave gates as you find them for your safety and the well-being of our farm operations.

Access the north end of our trail from Argilla Road, approximately half a mile east of Heartbreak Road and just west of Burrage Lane. For those starting from the south, the trailhead is conveniently located on Essex Road/Rt. 133, just east of Candlewood Road.

Our trail is made possible through a public easement held by the Essex County Trail Association. While the trail is open to the public, please remember that all surrounding areas are private property. We urge you to respect all regulations and enjoy the beauty of Maplecroft Farm Trail responsibly.
