"Nice wooded area - conservation land. Much of it is an easy walk. Some is moderate. Well managed by Essex Greenbelt, who recently carved out a few parking spaces, greatly improving accessibility of this little gem."
"One parking spot. One. Essentially this seems like a place only for those that live in the surrounding neighborhood. I tried to park on a nearby side street with no signs indicating that it would be a problem, and a woman came out of her house and told me it was a “private way”. She then said “we pay to have the road paved” as though that explained her behavior and the lack of signage. The bugs were terrible, but that’s not the trail’s fault. Trail itself was underwhelming especially for all the hassle involved. Disappointing, not recommended."
"Beautiful hidden gem. Some nice view areas and gorgeous hundred year old pine forest! Heard a large owl. No major wildlife sightings, though. Mile and half loop trail with some trails in between. Parking is limited."
"A small loop of pretty easy walking with wide, well maked trails. I completed the loop and got almost 5000 steps (with some side trail detours). I visited in late June and there was a remarkable number of horse flies swarming me for the whole time (and I was well coated in bug spray). No parking area at the trail head; I parked in a nearby neighborhood cul-de-sac."
"Make sure you use bug spray this time of year, horse flies and mosquitoes abound, but also saw a pretty doe through the trees."
