"Marblehead Animal control officer is extremely experienced. She is very good at her job, is super calm and good with both animals and people. Marblehead is lucky to have her. Who else are you going to call when you have a rabid animal in your yard, runaway llamas or a raccoon in your garage? She is unfazed by what she is up against and super smart thinking of ways to handle each situation because I have had encounters with her several times and she is always very professional."
"When I first saw a cute baby raccoon trying desperately to remove a plastic ring around its neck, I just knew I had to do something. It was a Friday night in June. I researched on the internet, called a few businesses, and e-mailed a few organizations — and the place who came to the rescue were two women who work for the Marblehead Animal Control Department. The Animal Control Officer who works during the evenings came at all hours, made phone calls to best figure out how to catch the little one without upsetting the mother and the other five siblings. Since raccoons are nocturnal, she who spent tireless nights hoping that they would enter the six cages that were filled with cooked chicken. Sure enough, after at least three weeks it finally happened. They all went in different cages and most importantly, she was there with an associate, to cut off the plastic ring, which by the way was about 3:00am. Once this was accomplished, they were all released to live happy lives wherever they go. I am forever grateful for the Marblehead Animal Control Department’s dedication and persistent effort to help rescue this baby raccoon. My neighbors and I thank the Marblehead Animal Control Department! “You are so important to Marblehead.”"
"I’m a a six foot tall man with my body covered mostly in tattoos. I’m also a father to a three year old boy, two rescue cats and two rescue dogs. I’ve funded two pet ACL repairs to the tune of $8,000, one eye surgery for about $2,000 and I nursed one of my cats back to life that the vet told me to put down with some bags of fluid, a giant needle and syringe feedings. When I was in this place the ladies in here treated me like a death row inmate. It’s cool to care about cats but you also have to care about people because they’re the ones you want to care for the cats you’re attempting to rescue. You have to treat all people who walk through the door with the same kindness you treat all cats who comes into your care."
"This lady is totally ridiculous. I let my dog off leash sometimes in the school yard down the street just to run around. I only do it when there’s no kids or other dogs there, not that it would matter because he’s a golden retriever and super friendly, doesn’t bark ever, absolutely hates confrontation, the friendliest most loving dog I’ve ever met and I’m not saying it because he’s my dog, that’s just his personality. I only let him off leash when there’s no one there though out of respect because I understand not everyone likes dogs and I dnt wana make anyone uncomfortable. If this lady drives by though she’ll scream and tell me to put him on leash and legit stalk me and my girlfriend all the way home. My girlfriend legit hada tell her to leave us alone before it became a legal issue for harrassment and my dad also had an issue with her. Not alright and a total abuse of power and borderline harassment on her part. What a total waste of tax payer money."
"Where was animal control all day today as a hurt, suffering skunk languished in the street? Numerous calls were placed and no one could make it over for hours and hours? Perhaps Marblehead Animal Control could clarify their role. One would hope for some common decency and compassion. To say that I am very disappointed is an understatement."
