"Was just stopped by a couple of these guys. No crime was committed. But in case a future unknown crime might possibly be committed in the area by anyone, they needed to Id me. When I ask why and didn’t immediately comply their their unlawful order, they threatened me with arrest. These guys wasted tax payer dollars and threatened a civilian without lawful authority. I’m pretty upset with my interaction. I’ve never had a bad interaction with police before. This was extremely disturbing. These guys need training in our constitution rights."
"I was required to get a police report when my identity was stolen, so I went to BPD per the instructions I received. It's cavernous in that building. Beautifully built and utterly empty. There was no one at the front desk. I spoke to a man through a tiny intercom and he said he couldn't help me and to call the FTC. I wince to think of my tax dollars spent to build a fortress where we speak to our public servants through a tiny intercom. Like Dorothy approaching the Emerald City to speak to the Wizard of Oz. It doesn't sit right with me."
"I had a complaint about traffic violations that I was concerned about from a safety perspective in my neighborhood. I filled out a form on the police department website late at night and the next morning SGT Dan Nicholson called me. He let me know he received my message and he laid out a plan of action. Appreciative that my concern was recognized and not ignored. Quick and appropriate level of response."
"Literally they don't have souls most ppl that work at this department. They don't care about their community or the "citizens" they are suppose to protect. Disgusted"
"This department needs to train their officers on proper driving techniques and community engagement. An officer was tailgating me, would slow down, and then speed up aggressively close to my rear bumper. An inexperienced driver would have certainly been intimidated and made a driving mistake, causing the officer to pull the driver over for a minor offense. Maybe it was an improper attempt to run my license plate. I suspect it was because I was pulling out of a low income neighborhood. Its really a disservice to the community."
