"Really knowledgeable staff member. Impressive court room recreation, with acted out scene from actual witch trial. Then the dungeon gives you a real idea of what conditions were like."
"The tour starts with a short reenactment of a trial, then we get down to the basement. I thought the tour was too small and the guide spoke too fast to be easily comprehensible. Worth the visit to understand the history of Salem"
"Of all the times we've gone to Salem, we've never been here, until this past Sunday. You have to buy tickets inside the museum, they don't do the tickets online kind of thing. But it's definitely worth it. Once you're finally let into the auditorium, a couple of the people that work there come out in costume and start giving you a little presentation about the Salem witch trials. After that you're taking into the basement, essentially the dungeon or at least what it look like back in the day and see what the cells looked like too. There's nothing scary about this place. It's not like a haunted house at all it's totally fine for all ages. But I would definitely recommend it for those of you that are interested in hearing about witches and want to hear a good piece of in history."
"A very nice compliment to the Salem Witch Museum. The Salem Witch Dungeon Museum recreates a Witch trial, which was very well done with professional actresses. The host and guide further explained the tragedy and mass hysteria surrounding the events. After the reenactment, you’re taken into the dungeon, which is a very interesting portrayal of the wretched imprisonment and punishment the accused Witches faced for months while awaiting trial. While 20 were executed, over 150 were arrested and detained. The staff was very friendly and took time to answer questions, as well as allowed photos during the trial and in the dungeon. The museum also offers a small gift shop at the end of the tour. The Salem Witch Dungeon Museum is definitely worth seeing during a visit to Salem."
"This was my favorite place to visit! It was so amazing. The staff was great and it was really educational. They had reenactments of the trials, and you got to see the actual dungeons the accused were held in and learn all about the conditions the prisoners had to survive. I highly recommend this tour!"
