St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church
About the Business
Welcome to St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, a vibrant place of worship located at 5 Paleologos Street, Peabody, Massachusetts. We invite you to join us in our spiritual journey, rooted in the rich traditions of the Orthodox faith. Our community gathers for Orthros at 8:00 am, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 9:00 am, with a Memorial Service concluding the morning worship.
Stay connected with our parish through weekly Gospel and Epistle readings, and be informed of the latest parish news. Explore the archives of our publication, Orthodox Life, for insights into our faith and community.
Our church is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of all ages, inspired by Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." We invite you to consider a gift to help us continue spreading the word of Christ, or leave a legacy by supporting the St. Vasilios Endowment Fund.
Participate in the sacred tradition of the Office of Oblation (Proskomide) by presenting names of loved ones for prayer during the Divine Liturgy. Experience the Artoklasia, a special prayer service symbolizing the "breaking of bread," reminiscent of the miracle of the five loaves.
For those commemorating departed loved ones, we offer the Kollyva service, a traditional offering of boiled wheat, and the TRISAGION, a brief memorial service. To schedule these services or order Kollyva, please contact our church office at 978-531-0777 or reach out to Niki at 978-578-7292.
Explore our Online Chapel for daily readings, hymns, and a monthly calendar of saints and feasts. Join us in celebrating the Apodosis of the Feast of the Forerunner and honoring saints such as Alexander, John, and Paul the New, Patriarchs of Constantinople, among others.
We look forward to welcoming you to St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, where faith and community come together in the love of Christ.

Reviews
"The Greek festival in November was a good local event that gathered a lot of attention from the community. Plenty of choices in their food court with many traditional Greek plates and desserts. Live Greek band was a good addition."
"Excellent. We could use a social worker for each Church. This would help our parishioners in need. Coordinating with our Priests could reduce their burden. Yet, together could work to favor all parishioners, particularly those of higher age."
"Great people and I have alot of respect for the church"
"Greek Festival... Great Food, Dance and Company...!!!"
"One of the most beautiful Orthodox churches I've been to, with a very friendly community."
