Our Criminal Investigation Division is equipped to handle a wide range of cases, ensuring thorough and professional follow-up on all incidents. Additionally, Peabody Animal Control responds to issues involving stray dogs, nuisance problems, rabies concerns, and injured animals, regardless of species.

Our history dates back to the 1850s, when part-time constables and "Night Watch" men were employed to maintain law and order. By 1872, the town had established a formal police force, with Lewis Manning, James E. Blanchard, and Joseph W. Skinner serving as the first full-time officers.
