Auld Alliance 243 Cloudland Drive, Rising Fawn, GA 30738

"My husband and I along with another couple had dinner last night to celebrate both of our anniversaries. We ate at the Auld Alliance restaurant inside the hotel. We are local residents in Walker County and this was our first visit to the hotel. The food was excellent and the prices were consistent with other high end restaurants that we have eaten in the past. The service was excellent, our server was Cassie and she was very knowledgeable of the food and drinks that they offered. The ambiance was simply AMAZING, breathtaking views in every direction!!! The only drawback was the parking. There was no option to self park (only valet) and it is over priced at $43.00 excluding tip! People from Atlanta and other big cities may be used to paying a high price for valet, but the locals are not. I’m just afraid this may hurt their local traffic in the future."

"Our dinner at Auld Alliance (8/16) was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I had the elk chops and my wife chose the pincanha. The "accoutrements" were chosen by the hotel staff and they complimented our meal better than anything we could have chosen ourself. Their extensive wine and bourbon lists add to the experience. Little things like the decor and the wait staff's attire remind you that you are in a high- quality establishment. I don't think it's a stretch to say this place is worth the 2 hour drive from Atlanta."

"Came to Auld for date night. The outdoor bar and view was lovely. Dinner at Auld is what is driving the 3 stars. Appetizer of ‘Beans on Toast’ sounded like a great adventure - beans were under cooked and over salted. Bread was soaked in oil and butter - not very toasty. For main the Steak was fine. The market Halibut Cheek was very well cooked. The sides of rice, pickled turnip and ratatouille were good but not wow. The beverage selection was great and a unique experience! For desert, we had the Carnachan….. salt salt salt…. We didn’t finish it as the pastry crust was very much over salted. Lots of potential and excited to come back after they refine their menu. Absolutely go for a good view and ambiance."

"Wow! Great service, friendly staff. Kyle was always telling us how the chef prepared the lovely delicious food. We had the scallops and Picanha (rare) and both were ridiculously awesome! And the wine and drinks were amazing! No issues here. If you want the best around...this is your shot! And the deserts! We had the Alaskan and the creme Brule."

"Excellent restaurant! Best steak I’ve ever had!!! Dry aged rib eye was so tender I could cut it with my fork. The service was exceptional all the staff were very attentive and the waitress (Claire) was the most helpful and knowledgeable server I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t believe such a youthful server was so well spoken and gave such clear and vivid descriptions for menu items. Definitely a valuable asset! Would certainly choose to return to the establishment in the future!!!"
