About Us

Welcome to Generals Park, a place of honor and reflection nestled in the heart of Quincy, Massachusetts. Located at Ross Way, this beautiful park is a testament to the bravery and dedication of eighteen distinguished military leaders who were raised in Quincy. Officially dedicated on September 11, 2021, by Mayor Thomas P. Koch and Governor Charles D. Baker, Generals Park is part of the Generals Bridge and Park project, celebrating the remarkable contributions of these leaders to our nation's military history.
Among the honorees is General Joseph F. Dunford, Jr., former Commanding General of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and 32nd Chief of Staff of the United States Army. His words resonate deeply with the spirit of Generals Park: "I'm proud of my service, not because I wore stars, but because I had the honor of serving with and leading the extraordinary men and women who volunteered to serve in our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. It is because of them we remain the land of the free and the home of the brave."
Generals Park is not just a tribute to these leaders but also a serene space for visitors to reflect on the sacrifices made for freedom. Whether you're looking for a peaceful walk, a moment of reflection, or a deeper understanding of Quincy's rich military heritage, Generals Park offers a meaningful experience for all. We invite you to visit and pay homage to the courage and dedication of those who have served our country with distinction.
