Denton Square

Welcome to Denton Square, your gateway to the lush and vibrant green spaces of Boston! Located at 1 Wayland Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02125, Denton Square is part of a remarkable network of parks managed by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department. Our mission is to create and maintain clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces across more than 2,300 acres of parkland throughout the city.

As stewards of 217 city parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields, along with two golf courses, 65 squares, 17 fountains, 75 game courts, and urban wilds, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all Boston residents. Our responsibility extends to the historic Emerald Necklace, a 1,000-acre chain of nine parks linked by parkways and waterways, as well as managing more than 35,000 street trees.

At Denton Square, you'll find a haven of outdoor recreation and community events. Enjoy our free family favorite movies in neighborhood parks, or immerse yourself in the rhythm of the six-concert Tito Puente Latin Music Series every July and August. For a unique experience, visit Alianza, a traveling beer garden brought to you by Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation.
