Located at 30 Randolph Street in the heart of Boston's vibrant 02118 neighborhood, Rotch Playground is a cherished part of our community's green spaces. As part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, we are committed to providing clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Rotch Playground is just one of the 217 city parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields we manage across Boston. Our department oversees an impressive 2,300 acres of parkland, including historic sites, urban wilds, and the renowned Emerald Necklace. We take pride in maintaining approximately 125,000 trees and 35,000 street trees, ensuring Boston remains lush and vibrant.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have transitioned our Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings online to ensure the safety and well-being of our community members.

This summer, we invite you to enjoy a variety of free events and activities for all ages, including family-favorite movies in your neighborhood parks and the exciting six-concert Tito Puente Latin Music Series in July and August. Don't miss the unique Alianza traveling beer garden, brought to you by Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation, offering a delightful experience in partnership with the City of Boston.
