Our Construction Inspection Unit (CIU) diligently monitors all active utility and private contractor construction work across Boston, providing daily reports to keep the public informed.

For businesses, we offer guidance on the mandatory Rules and Specifications requirement for obtaining a Public Works Department permit. Commercial waste companies are reminded that a permit is necessary for operations.
