"My grandfather built the house at 293 Forest St in the early 50s.The boulder was not as covered by vegetation then. I have many photos of the build …here’s one of the house in 52 …boulder is at left…fond memories of trying to climb it as a young boy."
"Oh my goodness 10/10 the best god damn boulder I’ve ever laid my eyes on. This boulder has changed me forever. I’ve heard of the rich history and stories about all the famous presidents who have pissed here but it wasn’t until I saw it in person that I fully comprehended the wonder of this boulder. After staring into the boulder’s curves for 2 hours I couldn’t wait any longer and I knew it was the perfect time to propose to my girlfriend. She unfortunately said no but that’s okay because I’ll always have the boulder. Would visit again but don’t propose there."
"This is probably the most serene tourist attraction in the entire country. The peacefulness of the nearby cemetery is reflected in the sylvan glen that is the natural surroundings of this beautiful attraction/monument. I have made annual visits to the site since my childhood, and visiting every year has been a favorite family outing. All our cell phones are clogged with pictures of this beautiful place! And it is so conveniently located close to Boston! We like to visit from our native Nebraska (which sadly doesn't have anything nearly as beautiful as this site) and then jump on the "T" to go into Boston for a nice Baked Bean dinner! I have heard a rumor that a few archeologists who have visited the site believe that at one time, there were dinosaurs hanging around the boulder, using it to thwart predators. Highly recommended for easy family fun!"
"I've been visiting the Boulder on Boulder St (or "Bou-Bou", as our family called it) since the late 90s. We lived in Hartford, but once a year we'd take the 2-hour drive up to Malden to visit the Boulder and appreciate its history. The proprietor of the attraction even told us that John Quincy Adams once chipped a tooth climbing on this rock as a child. It's a beautiful place to sit and contemplate the universe, especially when paired with a nice stroll through the cemetery across the street."
"One of the rockiest boulders I have ever seen! Who wouldn't want a picture? I wonder if they have a gift shop, you know, boulder scented candles, boulder post cards, etc."
