Reviews of Consulate General of Israel to New England
"I had a wonderful experience and received an amazing service at the consulate especially during this troubling pandemic time. Nurit who answered my phone call, was courteous, patient and quickly assisted me with an appointment. Lihi (hopefully it's the correct name spelling) answered my email promptly and then during the appointment was professional, understanding, helpful and extremely efficient!!! Overall, the entire staff was very nice and warm, I received a 5 star excellent service!"
"Absolutely terrible customer service. I rarely write reviews online, but something needs to be fixed with the Israeli consulate customer service system, I have never encountered such a clueless unorganized and unresponsive staff We have been trying for months to organize all necessary materials to get our kids’ Israeli citizenship we have been trying to get someone to talk to because we had a problem with one document and I get a response (over email) after 3-4 days telling me to write my phone number (which I did 3 times already) over a period of a month Not only no one calls back, it’s like emailing a wall, every time a different person replies and has no clue what I am talking about and keep telling me to get the document that I CANT get. We started this process in December it is already in March. I give up I am trying the NYC Israeli consulate."
"I generally am very positive with my reviews, but the Israeli Consulate of New England is an extremely disappointing service. They are simply not responsive by telephone - the one time they did pick up, the consulate told me “it was a mistake” that they answered the phone. They are inconsistent with their responses over email, despite numerous emails following up for an answer (and one that was time-sensitive). When I came in person for my visa appointment, the two women I spoke with were rude and made me feel uncomfortable. It is very unfortunate that Israel is represented in such a way, and I hope there are changes in future years."
"They handed us a piece of paper with 2 numbers to call, after one hour of nonstop calling they answered only to tell us that were unwilling to help us and would not even let us in to talk directly, took the day off work and paid an exorbitant amount for parking. Also only open 3 hours a day, a bunch of lazy not cool folks. I really don't want to return."
"These guys won't answer phones or emails, and their reception hours are limited to 2 hours a day. That said - when I went in to renew my passport I was in and out in 10 minutes - with a new passport right on the spot. Definitely beats the wait times at the RMV."
