"I was a hospital director for 35 years. The system is too complicated for the average person with all the categories. My doctor does general surgery but is not cross referenced with any other category such as critical care surgery that I would not have checked, so does NOT show up on this category or the zip code. Never had trouble before finding what I wanted!"
"Julian Robinson, MD of BWH, who was Chair of BORIM for nearly ten years until Jan 2024, failed consistently to recuse himself from complaints filed against his colleagues at BWH and Dana-Farber (separate entities with a close collaboration until recently). He has shielded his colleagues from being held accountable. This is nothing new, to Massachusetts or nationally. These organizations are not on the side of patients, and by the time they finish pretending at due diligence, the statute of limitations is up and you can’t sue. States Medical Boards belong to professional associations with strong lobbies that advocate for doctors, even when they do something wrong, and at the expense of patients. Trust me, when rich people get killed or maimed by a doctor, they don’t go to these Bozos; they sue, swiftly, and win settlements. Because there is no such thing as a “frivolous lawsuit” for the rich. The vast majority of Americans, however, cannot afford to hire a lawyer. Maura Healy appoints these people, but there is zero oversight on her part. She is nothing but a sleezy politician like all her predecessors. Shame on her for not being better. Do you feel that your complaint against a doctor who hurt you or a loved one was not taken seriously or adequately addressed? Call the Governor’s Office. Ring her phone off the hook. Picket and complain, send her hundreds of letters, and hold this useless politician accountable for BORIM. Doctors should not be regulating themselves."
"I don’t even know why the exist. They are useless . I filed valid complaints as many others have and nothing was done . I had a Dr tell me I was faking my arms flopping like a fish uncontrollably. He became irate with me . I explained I had literally just been dc from in pt care and wasn’t feeling right . We made it ten min away from the hospital when my arms wouldn’t stop thrashing around. He said I was attention seeking lmao. Fast forward I call my pain Dr explain I was given an overdose of bacloflen in the hospital and as a nurse myself wondered if this was some type of withdrawal from the muscle spasm medication I was given too much of and abruptly stopped when the Dr realized their mistake . My pain Dr and neurologist explained I went into bacloflen withdrawal from having such high doses in error than stopped . That’s why my arms were uncontrollably thrashing . St Luke’s hospital and this so called medical board are useless . Look up who’s running the place . The place is a joke . Hire an attorney and then sue the state as well for not doing their job and covering up mistakes . A great Dr not too long ago told me a story of a colleague abusing pts mentally gaslighting it was reported by him! Nothing was done . He told me the state doesn’t care they are short medical staffing . Nothing will happen by going to the BOM . Useless organization!"
"Sent a complaint to them about a transgender healthcare provider that removed me from hormones for no reason and led to me nearly committing suicide. I literally had his signature attesting to the medication being stopped. Sent it all in. Was told that it "didn't violate and of their rules. Tried to call but was told that no one was going to help me and to stop calling or else they would see me arrested for harassment. All because I just wanted to ask why a doctor was able to violate the Hippocratic path and walk away Scott free."
"The Massachusetts Board of Medicine, like all of the boards of medicine, have been corrupted. They allow the improper prescribing of psychiatric medication without reprimand. I was in the emergency room 4 times and in a partial psychiatric hospitalization for 4 weeks because my primary care physician prescribed an SSRI without any screening. They allow physicians to violate the by not enforcing the need to provide informed consent. Yet 16 months after my complaint, I just received word that they offered no disciplinary action. So that's correct, your doctor can prescribe a medication without appropriate screening and you can be harmed, and they won't even get a slap on the wrist. If you want to fix the mental health crisis in the nation, fire these people. They allow the prescribing of benzos for years. The Massachusetts Board of Medicine sits back and blames everyone but themselves for this mental health crisis, yet they are the ones that are perpetuating the problem. It's time for people that are harmed by the medical system to stand up and demand change. We deserve better than this. We deserve better from government agencies that are owned by big pharma and large corporations...there is a movement growing and we demand change. enough is enough."
