"I do love going to the farmers market. I enjoy the variety and everybody seems really friendly who sells there now. I sold there for many years before I opened up my store which is still running. On my last day to sell there, I came early and set up my new tables under the tent I always used.. I needed to help my parents that morning. The director had directed them to closed up my new tables and put them in the ditch like trash. I bet she hopped someone would take them. They had closed the tent I always used. They provide tents to everyone and tables. When I got there at opening time, People were everywhere and I had to scramble to try to reset back up. Afterwards one of the directors told me that I was never allowed to touch the tables or the tents. That the spot that I've been using for years was no longer mine. That they would put me wherever she wanted to put me. She was mean and rude why because he was let to be mean by the director. She still runs the farmers market today and I hope she's learned how to manage people and not allow them to abuse others. All that wear on my car because the men had quit coming because the director I'm assuming. The man used to show up in their trucks and load all the tables and tents up and bring them down and help the lady set up. Then suddenly all the men were gone. So I started help out every Saturday with my HHR. I would put my sale items on the grass and drive up to the storage building behind the mentone inn. I would help load the tables and tents into my car and slowly drive down to our set up spot. Then help everyone set up. How could they do that to someone who had been so kind to them. I'll never know but even to this day they are rude to me. My store has been open since 2013."
"The market is small but the quality and variety of veggies, meats, eggs and baked goods makes it worth coming back again and again."
"Baked goods, fresh vegetables, local meat and hot food. Not too many vendors. The baked fried fruit pies are not your standard fillings don't pass them up."
"We love coming to Mentone Farmers Market. And we never miss eating at Tip Top Bakery which is some of the best food I've ever eaten. I wish however, the Farmers Market had a few more booths around so that there would be a little more shopping. We always buy plenty of Apple Butters, Peach jams, and soaps from Berman Hill farmers booth."
