Welcome to Linwood Park, a serene oasis located at 55P Linwood Street in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts. As part of the expansive network of parks managed by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, Linwood Park offers a tranquil escape amidst the bustling city. Our mission is to create and maintain clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces across Boston's 2,300 acres of parkland.

Linwood Park is one of the 217 city parks that provide a perfect setting for relaxation, recreation, and community gatherings. Visitors can enjoy the lush landscapes, playgrounds, and athletic fields that cater to all ages. As part of our commitment to enhancing urban life, we also oversee an impressive array of facilities, including two golf courses, 65 squares, 17 fountains, and 75 game courts.

Our dedication to preserving Boston's natural beauty extends to managing approximately 125,000 trees, including more than 35,000 street trees, and maintaining the historic Emerald Necklace, a 1,000-acre chain of nine parks linked by parkways and waterways.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have transitioned our Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings online to ensure the safety of our community.
