"I love the new station but the train runs awful time wise .One hour + from time of arrival to get to Park street . 3 trains never showed up .This happens all the time I have only had 2 normalish rides out of 10 . People were leaving the train as we sat there probably to take an Uber . I pay my fare at the machine and take my paper ticket then grumble because of that anouncement about the train coming every 7 to what 9 minutes nope ."
"If the MBTA wants to have a functional, high-volume station where people actually pay the fare, they need to stop with the validation machine nonsense here. Why is this one of the only stations in the entire MBTA that requires multiple taps to validate your card? Why assign an employee to bother people about the fare and create a massive bottleneck at rush hour instead of putting 5-6 automatic fare machines like every other station? Additionally, there is no departure timetable available other than "every 7 or 15-20 minutes" which makes it impossible to know when you will be running to catch the train, and when you will be sitting there for 10 minutes waiting for it to leave. Unfortunately this is one of the nicer, more functional MBTA stations and it still leaves me wondering if anyone who designed it has ever tried to take the train from here. I really want to be excited about this transit extension but the fare bottleneck and lack of train schedule is absolutely ridiculous from a commuter perspective. I have also seen visitors or really anyone unfamiliar with the station get very confused about which train is leaving and when. They would benefit from regularly utilizing the flashing arrow signs to indicate when and which train to board."
"They had a chance to build from scratch a station that could be enclosed so commuters wouldn’t freeze during the harsh winter months. Yet they built this wide open space with wiling that are so high you can get wet if rain falls at an angle. Poor design."
"We can confirm that there is NOT a train every 7-13 minutes. It was easy getting into the city but getting back took 3 times as long. For the entire 30 minute wait for the train the over-com mocked us with “there is a train to Union Station every 7-13 minutes.” But all of the staff are super friendly and looked healthy. So at least they were happy and talkative instead of looking like the walking dead."
"Rode the E line for the first time today. We were excited but the experience was sketchy and a bit disappointing. To start, waited 15 min in the train to leave Union Sq. Numerous rapid starts/stops in the middle of the ride. Overall very slow speed, especially over the bridge at Lechmere ~5mph. Escruciatingly slow entering North Station AND the ride terminated there. Boston was a mess tonight with shuttle buses replacing the train. Unfortunately a miserable experience. Hoping it will smooth out soon."
