"Racially diverse, it is an extremely welcoming church! The pastor delivers a message, as opposed to a sermon. It doesn't matter though. You get the spiritual enrichment needed. A good deal of MIT students attend services here. My only concern is that the students graduate and likely leave the congregation."
"This is such a wonderful church in Cambridgeport Boston..Worship is so good, Senior Pastor is so loving and congregation so warm and friendly. Sunday morning church service...then bible teaching..children's bible study...comprehensive gospel service..and so easy to reach from any part of Boston...10 minute walk to Central Subway station. I loved being here and the Sunday service...me and Senior pastor Dan!"
"My wife and I have been attending CBC sermon for 3 years since we moved to Cambridge from Taiwan. We really enjoy praying, worshiping God, and receiving messages with the diverse community here at CBC. People here are super kind to international students and even host open house events to them annually. It is a church full of compassion and joy."
"As a woman of color, who is also an immigrant, I realize I have cultural biases that are different from those shared by Americans - both white Americans and American-born people of color. It is difficult to listen to another human being without trying to show that I'm right and he/she is wrong when we differ. I appreciate Pastor Dan's encouragement to be thoughtful and honest with myself and with others. He reminds us that Christ's love gives us the freedom to face the truth about ourselves with real hope for healing. As a follower of Christ, I realize I am a sinner. Which means I agree with God's analysis that because I do not honor Him as my Creator by obeying Him in everything, I deserve nothing from Him (not even life) and every good thing comes from Him. Christ died for me. He took what I deserve. He also lived the perfect live in submission to God for me (so His death as an innocent Man was not for Himself, it was for us). He lived the perfect life for me. He took the death I deserve. So, God loves me even as He loves Christ! What a wonder. Christ Himself says this (as recorded in the book of John). Each day I must admit to God all of the ways I have chosen to do what I think is right instead of seeking His Will. His commands seem unreasonable, then reality persists. I hurt people, and I hurt myself. I realize that God Created everything, so His commands are the only reasonable way to proceed! This realization is a gift from God. In addition, every day I ask for mercy for wanting God to judge someone who deeply wounds me by ignoring the commands of God, forgetting I need the same mercy. God is kind and merciful and it is his because of His mercy towards me that compels me to see mercy as the only way to respond to everyone. I am reaching for this. P. Dan and the community at CBC give me the freedom to live the truth that I am not more moral or right than anyone else. I only have the freedom to admit my immorality to God and ask for His forgiveness and His mercy to help me resist evil, with real Hope that He will do just that, because He chose to die for me when I was His Enemy so that now I might live for Him as His friend."
"I have attended Cambridgeport whenever we visit our family in the area. I have found the congregation be welcoming and truly wishing to be obedient to Christ and wanting to help their fellow man. The Pastor teaches from the scriptures and loves and welcomes all."
