"Staff stops taking any form of financial transaction 15 min to half an hour before close. So if you work twelve hour shifts and planned your entire day around getting there before close so you can still work, you’re out of luck."
"Beautiful, EV friendly place."
"On March 2, 2009 we got married there during a blizzard. The Patrick Ward, the Town Clerk walked in to the office and opened it just for us. We flew in specifically to get married on a Monday and had to leave the next day so this was our only shot to get married. At the time, gay marriage was not legal in many places, including our home state. We called Patrick weeks before to set an appointment. When the snow wouldn't let up, we were concerned but we went to City Hall anyway. A sign on the door said "City Hall is closed. For assistance, knock loud!" We banged on the door and Patrick came over, opened the door and said "You're the guys!". We had to get a waiver from the court across the street, which was easy. Then we went back to City Hall. Patrick performed the ceremony in his office and sent us on our way. It was perfect "ceremony". Then, since almost nothing else was open, we celebrated with Mongolian BBQ."
"I was here to attend an elopement. Town clerk, a very nice gentleman who officiated the ceremony was able to accommodate his off day to fit couple's schedule. They have a metered lot in addition to more metered spots on Washington St & Holden St."
