About the Business
Welcome to Friends Meeting at Cambridge, a vibrant and inclusive Quaker community located at 5 Longfellow Park, Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a place of worship and spiritual gathering, we offer a welcoming space for individuals seeking peace, reflection, and connection.
Our community is centered around silent communion, which forms the heart of our time together. During our gatherings, spoken ministry may arise spontaneously, enriching our shared experience. We invite you to join us for our hybrid Meeting for Worship every Sunday morning, where you can choose to participate either in person or online.
Throughout the week, Friends Meeting at Cambridge hosts a variety of events and groups that cater to diverse interests and concerns. From our Drumming Circle, led by Toussaint Liberator at the Reservoir Church, to the New Story Group meetings on Zoom, there are numerous opportunities for engagement and growth. Our Peace and Social Justice Committee actively considers how we can respond to global issues, including organizing support for the situation in Gaza.
For those passionate about environmental advocacy, our Climate Action Meeting is open to all and convenes on the fourth Wednesday of each month. We also provide a nurturing environment for families, with summer childcare available, allowing children to join in worship for the first 15 minutes before engaging in their own activities.
After our meetings, we invite you to stay for fellowship with refreshments, where you can enjoy simple snacks and engaging conversations in the Friends Room or Library. For those who wish to reflect further, our Afterthoughts session offers a space to share personal insights and ministry.
At Friends Meeting at Cambridge, we believe in the power of prayer and community support. We welcome anyone who needs prayers or feels moved to pray for others. To submit a prayer request or update, please reach out to us.
Join us in our journey of faith, social justice, and community building. We look forward to welcoming you to our meetings and events, whether in person or online. For more information on our weekly calendar and activities, please contact us or visit our website.

Reviews
"An existing congregation came to this location in 1937 after buying a house originally belonging to Alice May Longfellow, daughter of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, then added an addition to the building to create a Friends Center and the Meeting House. The congregation founded its own school in the 1960s and is dedicated to helping people from all walks of life and ability."
"I am an organizer at MAAP. Cassie is a very kind person. The actual epitomy of a fair person. Poor girl needs a million dollars and a noble peace prize. Or at least some local humanitarian award and a spa week."
"Great meeting space for Events. It even has a full kitchen."
"A great place and community, all are welcome and there is almost always something interesting going on, in addition to several opportunities to worship each week. The website is informative and the invitation to join the many offerings on the calendar is sincere."
