Welcome to the North Reading Town Administration's official website. Located at 235 North Street, North Reading, Massachusetts, our office serves as the hub for local government operations in this charming suburban town. Established as an independent town in 1853, North Reading is nestled entirely within the Ipswich River watershed in Middlesex County. Our town is proud of its rich history, featuring well-preserved homes dating back to 1730 and a historic town center with a Federal style meeting house and an affluent Federal village.

Our office is dedicated to serving the community by providing essential services and information to residents and visitors. We are open from Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and on Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM. In collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), we are committed to ensuring the well-being of our community. Recently, MDPH informed us about the presence of the Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) virus. To address this, the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project will be conducting mosquito control operations using a truck-mounted aerosol sprayer.
