Reviews
"Some muddy patches after rain but many boardwalks are provided."
"Like wetlands? And hemlock groves? Wide walking paths and little stretches of boardwalk? Well do I have the Sanctuary for you! An easily walkable and very pleasant three quarters of a mile. A white fence and gate mark the trailhead. Exceptionally toddler friendly with lots of logs and stumps to stop and sit for a snack. Lots of birds and puddingstone to admire. Street parking is plentiful but *may* be resident only? (We parked and had no issue but rules are unclear.)"
"Great place on the edge of the city for a hike. Too bad we found one section covered in trash and graffiti. Clearly a party spot that needs to be better patrolled."
"Beautiful walk. Can’t wait to come back here again."
"A lovely bit of urban wilderness with a winding road of gravel and grasses that's easy for less strenuous hiking. Both sides of the fire road access several more challenging trails up the various puddingstone outcroppings that reveal the peculiar geological violence of millions of years. These heights hide secretive sites of solitude and sanctity that foster powerful composure. Other access points lead down to boardwalks through a delicate red maple swamp with peculiar vegetation and wildlife. Sweet in all seasons!!"
