About the Business

Welcome to Rogers Park, a serene oasis nestled in the heart of Boston at 30 Rogers Park Avenue. As a cherished part of the city's vast network of green spaces, Rogers Park offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle, serving as both a local park and a vibrant tourist attraction.
Our mission is to create and maintain clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces across Boston's 2,300 acres of parkland. With responsibility for 217 city parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of urban life through the beauty of nature. Our work extends to two golf courses, 65 squares, 17 fountains, and 75 game courts, as well as 16 historic and three active cemeteries, urban wilds, and four high school athletic fields. We also care for approximately 125,000 trees, including more than 35,000 street trees, all contributing to the lush landscape of the historic Emerald Necklace.
Rogers Park is a community hub where families can enjoy free favorite movies under the stars and where music enthusiasts can revel in the vibrant sounds of the Tito Puente Latin Music Series during the summer months. Our collaboration with Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation brings Alianza, a unique traveling beer garden experience, to Boston, celebrating community and culture.
Join us for a season full of outdoor fun with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department's diverse calendar of free events and activities designed for all ages. Whether you're seeking a peaceful walk among the trees or an energetic day of sports and entertainment, Rogers Park is your destination for relaxation and recreation in Boston.
Please note that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings are currently held online. For any inquiries or to participate in community discussions, feel free to reach out to us.

"Great place for all ages. Plenty of grass and shady places with a park in courts."
"I play in a Brighton softball league that often has games at Rogers. I have been playing at Rogers consistently for the last 3 years. The softball field is definitely in need of major maintenance. There are a few visitor street parking spots around the park but it is mainly residents parking only. Typically you can park in the residents parking spots and not get a ticket on weekday evenings but it is always a risk."
"Nice simple park for kids and sports. Nice gated play area for smaller children. There were a lot of (maybe 10) off leash dogs running around. While it seemed under control for the most part, I was not comfortable and left after a short while. I have had dogs and understand the need for them to exercise but at a public park with kids running around it didn't seem appropriate."
"This is considered the park of the neighborhood* Large field space, includes: 2 baseball fields, tennis courts, Basketball courts and a playground for the little ones* With the slanted hill, you're able to sunbathe with ease. Great place to walk your dog; or even meet with other dogs! Plenty of parking options, but you can also walk here for some good ol' exercise-"
"A lovely park. For dogs, kids & grown ups."
