As an accredited Massachusetts Police agency, the Woburn Police Department comprises over seventy-six full-time sworn officers and nineteen sworn reserve officers. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to protect a vibrant community of 40,151 residents and support the city's bustling industrial base. Strategically positioned at the intersection of Interstate Routes 93 and 95, Woburn is just 9.5 miles northwest of Boston, making it a key area for both local and regional safety.
Our Patrol Division operates around the clock, with three shifts covering 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Additionally, our full-time staffed Detective Bureau includes 11 highly trained investigators, and we have a specialized Traffic Enforcement Bureau and Services Division. Our officers are committed to reducing crime and enhancing the quality of life through effective, efficient police services and innovative problem-solving techniques.
