Reviews
"I parked at Sichuan Restaurant- it was early on a Thursday. So much history in the area and this short path is well preserved."
"A beautiful stretch of the former Middlesex Canal that is intact. The towpath runs beside the canal for a half mile, starting at the Corner of School Street and Merrimac Street, it runs in parallel with the old Railbed. Parking is at Ferullo Field on Main Street, which is a short walk to the entrance on School Street. You may take the upper path (Railbed) or the lower path (Towpath) and walk the entire length of this section until you get to the rear of Sichuan Garden (A restaurant in the historic Baldwin Mansion on Alfred Street). At the endpoint there is a turnaround that connects the railbed with the towpath. There are beautiful birch trees bent over the path alongside crab cherry trees."
