Ordway Park boasts an impressive variety of tree and shrub species, including American beech, dogwood, flowering quince, fringe-tree, mock orange, mountain ash, shad bush, viburnum, witch hazel, and yellowwood. These diverse plantings create a lush, vibrant landscape that changes with the seasons, providing a picturesque setting for visitors year-round.

Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the park's longest walk, which spans 0.1 miles, immersing themselves in the tranquility and natural beauty of this woodland oasis. The park's history is rich, having been generously willed to the Newton Conservators by Priscilla Ordway, ensuring its preservation for future generations to enjoy.
