"Beautiful, special place. Trailhead entrance towards the bottom of Park Place with parking all along Crescent Hill Ave. Arlington doesn't have a lot of dedicated green spaces like this and though simple, Gilboa's worth your time. Despite being relatively small, it's a great place to explore. That all being true, there's a ton of trash in there lately. Broken glass on trails, plastic bottles. Personally, I try and grab what I can when I walk through but it's gotten very difficult to keep up with. It's a great place to walk your dog or bring your kids or to walk/hike/run through. But be careful, seriously, there's so much glass."
"Tiny but pretty oasis in the midst of neighborhoods featuring interesting older houses and very steep streets. The park itself has typical New England rocky, hilly geography and plant life. Some small paths go directly to people's backyards so please be mindful of neighbors. Combining this park with a walk around the Res is a nice mini-hike."
"Great park for its small size (10 acres) and location on the edge of an urban part of Arlington. Really pleasant woodland on a steep hill. In the winter you can see the Boston skyline through the trees - a cool sight, framed by hills across the valley. Excited to come back in the future to see if I can observe some more wildlife."
"Not the biggest, but cool enough for a short walk. It is nice and if you are in the area you should check it out."
"Found this little area by accident running around the neighborhood before a baseball game at McLennen. Cute, interesting little hill with steep trails and an interesting building. A fine detour that will only take 3-5 minutes of your time."
