"Better to pay a parking ticket in person! I attempted to pay a $20 ticket online using a credit card. Thought all was ok until I received a 2nd notice saying no payment had been received & fine was now $30. Apparently charge didnt go thru, so I decided to mail a check. Oddly the payment goes to box in Pasadena CA!! What the heck??? Well, just received 3rd notice payment not received & fine now $35. Check hasnt been processed by my bank & I wonder if this is a scheme to get more $$ for Newton! Mr.Mayor, why are payments going to Pasadena? And why arent they processed in a timely manner? Makes no sense!"
"My advise is don't use the app. If you use the app the meter maid will arrive when it expires. If you don't pay at all they never know."
"I would like to give my personal thanks to officer #372 for this ticket. It seems like my vehicle is exclusively targeted since I am the only one on Studio road who gets this ticket on Saturdays. I also give my thanks to officer #372 for not giving tickets to the people who park in these spots for days on end and who don’t get tickets on Saturdays. Officer #372, I am also amazed at how you know if I moved my car or not after you recorded the time when you looked for yourself. It’s crazy to me how the neighbors on this street can throw massive parties and have guest parking there for 12+ hours and as you may guess, no ticket. You have my personal thanks officer #372 for this $15 ticket and being the only person looked for on this street."
"Newton is a residential suburb of Boston. There will never, in a 1000 years, be enough people descending on this area to cause parking congestion. Never in my life have I seen a quiet residential area have 2hr parking limits EVERYWHERE. There hasn't been a single hour of a single day where street parking is taken up. I just don't understand why I can't park on my own street like any other suburb. I need a car to commute to work but why should I have to pay $100s/month for a private parking spot when there is ample street parking at all times. This is a complete joke. [update: Officer BW, Badge #373 can't even do her extremely simple job. When I re-park my car to adhere to the ridiculous time limits, she still tickets me]"
"FRAUD is all I can say. I was correctly parked in the same place I park ALL THE TIME. Yesterday I receive a ticket for the first time after more than three years."
