"Steven Davis (dBa "Stevie D's Auto & SMD construction) is a professional SCAM ARTIST----he had possession of my vehicle for 3-4 months to do "repairs" (swap a timing chain & fuel injectors & spark plugs & water/oil pump, gaskets etc).... I had a diagnostic done 24hrs after the said "repairs" (for $3,500).. all he did was swap a couple sensors & clear the check engine light on the vehicle. He did 2 hours of actual labor, in 3-4 months (but charged me for 35 hours of labor) And he stole the $2000 in parts that I provided. Now he's dodging me and avoiding my phone calls. Steven Davis is a very evil man, that belongs in prison."

"SMD Construction did a 500 Sq ft family room addition with some extras with greats results. They were on time and did exactly what we requested and contracted. Steve was always checking in and keeping things moving. They are a good team and I would recommend them to others."

"HORRIBLE! He will promise to do everything and then has you sign a vague, general contract. When it comes time for the work to be done, he refuses to do half of what he promised and then says to look at the contract. He told us the job would be done in three weeks and we are now going on two months! He ripped out our bathroom and then refused to send anyone to work on it for three weeks. He lies about everything just to get you off the phone. Beware!! I cannot stress what terrible service this man delivers. Update 3/13/20 - the contractor walked out on the job without finishing it! This is the kind of work ethic this company has."

"After having gone through the stressful ordeal of seeking retribution for damages caused by other contractors, I feel compelled to give credit where it's deserved. My wife and I have now dealt with 4 different contractors on various house projects, and only 2 of them produced work that didn't need to be 'fixed' afterwards. One of those contractors was SMD Construction - fast, excellent work and very professional the entire way through. They came in at a slightly higher cost, so we originally didn't go with them. However, we ended up regretting that decision when the contractor we chose turned out to be completely incompetent at leveling our foundation and floors. Lesson learned - you get what you pay for. And even then, sometimes you don't! But with these guys, you absolutely do. These are the types of contractors we want in business."
