"Massage was sub par at best. Place seemed dirty and old. Massage lady spent more time talking then massaging. She also didn't leave the room while I was getting dressed rather spent time putting the same towel I had just sweat into and redressing the bed with the same garments lol. 110 dollars for 90 minutes. I mentioned I had a knot in my neck and lower back and wanted her to focus on those areas. She barely spent anytime at all on them and I have still have those terrible knots. She even guilted me into giving her a higher tip by saying the owner doesn't pay here. Sounds like a personal issue to me if you're not getting paid and working for only tips. I'll stick to oriental in Newburyport, that place leaves you feeling refreshed... Hate to give a business such a low review being a business owner myself but this is just flat out honest. The owner probably won't mind either seeing as they dont pay their employees. Wish your business the best of luck with that kind of ethic..."
"This was actually a sort of comical experience. I would not recommend going here for a deep tissue massage… or really any kind of full body massage. I don’t know if it’s just one woman working here, but she wasn’t able to provide much pressure, and applied most of it along the direction of the skin instead of inward toward the tissue, and almost all on the sides of my body. More like Swedish massage I guess, but I have had better massage of that style at the same price. When I asked for more pressure she only seemed to apply it to my IT band, which I have to think now was designed to stifle/fight the request. When I tried to ascertain whether it was possible to change the style of massage or the pressure she got very defensive and actually began *jabbing* me with her fingers all over to indicate why what I was “asking for” wasn’t a good idea. She raised the good point that she had been to massage school and I hadn’t, so I must be wrong about what I wanted. We ended the session early, and she overcharged me a bit but at least she didn’t demand that I pay the full hour price plus tip. The lighting was poor, the oil wasn’t high quality, and she was quite sour, but at least there was no wait, and for a little while it was relaxing."
"I have been dealing with chronic pain in my neck and lower back. Knots formed on both of my shoulders. Got examined by PCP, chiropractor, did stretches, and exercises targeting those areas, but nothing. I have been delaying going to PT because it never seemed to work for my mom. I went here just for a massage. Needed a way to relax. Very easy to make an appointment. Wonderful experience. She gave me choices of how soft or hard I wanted her to massage. I told her hard, and I did not expect to have so much relief after. My calves can relax now. No more pain stretching calves. Every part that could crack did. Pain in my feet (flat feet) disappeared. I swear I grew an inch. My spine could stretch out. No more popping and pain when I move my shoulders. She even adjusted my lower back and neck. Hip pain is gone. Pain in my neck gone. The knots had largely decreased in size. My shoulders can relax. Circulation issues to my hands and feet fixed. Any pain I had, any physical issue I had from stress, all gone. So so excellent."
"This was the worst massage experience of my life. The lady took a picture of me during my massage while I was turned around … I heard the camera click and the sound of it being sent to someone via text message on her iPhone. When I turned around and asked if she took a picture, she ignored me and started telling me how there are bad people in the neighborhood, asking for more money, asking me if I need a job, my age, if I have a bf, etc. it was very scary and weird vibes. When I got dressed she sat on the massage table staring at me. Please stay away. Dangerous place"
