"This is a good company to work with if you’re into landscaping, construction, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, auto, working with water(Hawsco) and so much more. I worked here as a laborer straight out of high school for a month or so with no experience and all the guys I worked with were super nice, helpful, hilarious, and had many stories to tell from their years of working here.(No, that did not change I left due to personal reasons.) You do a lot of hard work when working at Lewis, especially during the summer which is when I started and stopped working here, but none of the people push you when it comes to circumstances of heat or how many hours you’ve been working on a task in the day. Being a laborer consists of looming, moving rocks and sticks out of the way, sweeping off the work areas, planting, making rock walls, digging holes, weeding, mulching, filling in areas with dirt, working on foundations, raking hay, moving hay bales, watering plants and trees, moving wheel barrels full of stuff, arranging tools, lifting pipes, moving rocks around to make rock beds, tamping, dal-boarding, moving wood boards, using a havoc gun, using a drill, hammering staples into hay covers, and street sweeping. The company is flexible with time off, just try not to take advantage of that, the places you work, the residents there are always so nice offering food and water to you and I’ve had good conversations with them as well, I definitely recommend to anybody looking for a landscaping/construction job weather it’s their first or next job, good luck out there, and thank you Lewis Builders for the awesome experience!"
"Upon moving in in June 2019, I received a letter 9 months later that my rent would be going up if I don't move out and continue for another year. THIS WAS DURING COVID!!! They gave everyone $50 off rent for 1 month when Covid started. Seriously, they couldn’t manage 100.00 or even a month free like many other facilities. Now going on my 3rd yr here and just got another letter that it's going up again in my third year. This was NEVER mentioned in the lease. They have a great front porch on each unit and after a year of having a beautiful patio set on it, they sent a note saying ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is aloud on the front deck. They also just decided to ban any bird feeders! All of this happened a year after signing the lease. Why would they EVER build a front deck if you can't use it. The property manager Kiira is down right RUDE and even laughed at me when trying to resolve an issue with rental support. She was clearly annoyed and kept talking over me. Kiira is totally unprofessional and clearly doesn’t have much of any experience in management or dealing with people or complaints. I’ve complained about one set of neighbors that are unreasonably loud and nothing is being done about it. It’s so incredibly frustrating. You’re made to feel like you’re annoying her for complaining or bringing things to their attention like that fact that no one came to mow the property until I called! It was up to our knees. They also never finished the basements. Exposed insulation and concrete floors. From what I understand exposed insulation can be a health hazard if it’s interrupted or moved by accident! It’s great for storage but if you have something that hits the insulation when you’re moving things around you breathe in the fiberglass . If it could be finished then living here would be worth the money. Very cheap material was used for building these. hanging curtains is a challenge because the walls are so thin."
"Their apartments seemed decent enough. Obvious shortcuts were taken in the apartments and they weren't in perfect shape when we moved in. The tenants before us mounted their tv on the wall and it was clear the holes made were patched quickly and cheaply. You could see the outlines of the holes. I tried to cover it up by hanging a picture but thebpqtch job in the wall caved in. We reported it to the office but no one came to fix it. We lived there for over 2 years without too many issues. There was some issue with neighbors not parking in the right spot. However no matter how much we called the landlord did nothing about it after promising they would. We eventually gave up with that. It literally went on for a year. When we moved out we spent a week cleaning it. A month later, instead of getting our security deposit back, we were charged 100$ for repairs to the wall and they told us the carpets needed to be ripped up and replaced. When I called to dispute it, they wouldn't even talk to us. I suggested that ibwould send them proof. I had taken pics when we moved and the day we left along with pics of the wall and our request to get it fixed. After having the majority of our calls ignored and arguing about it when we did get thru, they decided to drop the charges but still would not give us our deposit back. I've heard of this happening to other people as well along with many other issues. The apartments are cheap and even though we didn't really have huge issues, we got screwed over in the end. Always paid on time, never had any complaints on us. We were essentially perfect quiet tenants. It seems great in the beginning, but it sounds like at the end of it all, they'll come up with any reason not to return peoples money. They're thieves and I would not recommend them to anyone. Do not give them your business"

"Visited the open house at Sawmill Ridge and really enjoyed talking with Linda. The homes are beautiful and Linda was very knowledgeable about the home buying process. Looking forward to buying a Lewis Builders home!"
