"Update. It has been 7 weeks since the town told me Busby would reset my mailbox to within the USPS guidelines and still nothing. The Salem, NH capital projects engineer either lied to me or Busby broke my mailbox and is avoiding responsibility trying to hide it. My town hired them to repair drainage and repave my street and it has absolutely been a horrible experience as a resident. My irrigation system was destroyed, my mailbox got reset and maybe half the hieght it was previously set. My driveway grade during construction was left in a way that my car would scrap along the ground anytime I entered or exited. They just patched areas of my driveway that they broke instead of making a clean cut and having the new asphalt meet the driveway cleanly it's a patchy mess. This is all on top of trash like empty bottles and dunkins cups tossed into my property as well as excess patches of asphalt tossed I to my property. They also were careless operating equipment around cable/phone lines and took out lines going to a house on the street and left them ha gong over the weekend. All in all it's cheap lazy work and there is no care for the residents property they leave in disarray. This project is leaving me to pay out of pocket to clean up the mess they left behind. Can't imagine a worse company for a municipality to hire."

"I live in Salem, NH. A couple of weeks ago (now 7/22/24) Busby Construction showed up in the neighborhood to widen end repave 2 side streets. Suddenly equipment appeared without notification from the town. The Salem Capital Projects Engineer is seriously deficient in public outreach to give advance notice to residents of "what's going on". He accused me of "not doing my due diligence". Really?! Retired now, during my career, I worked on several Capital projects. That experience educated me on the great importance of public outreach, specifically notifying residents of activity that will impact their lives. Specially, numerous pieces of heavy equipment moving around. the cacophony of sound created by incessant back up alarms, loud dump trucks, etc. is very disruptive. Fortunately Kyle, the Busby field Superintendent was very approachable, personable and informative about what was going on and what we residents could expect. His willingness to interact with residents was very much appreciated. Having experience working on Capital projects, I quickly recognized his skills. I admire Kyle. He entered the company as a worker 11 years ago and worked his way up to Superintendent. I enjoyed watching him supervise the work and the way he kept it progressing. People make a company. Perception is based on experience. Kyle made a disruptive experience tolerable. Thank you Kyle."

"This company had now costed numerous people their jobs and has caused multiple tardys for mine and other peoples children because they have major road work going on at 8am... have you people ever heard of night construction?? You could at least start these day jobs after 9 once everyones finished getting to work and dropping their kids off at school. Not to mention that any time I drive by these work zones there are 10 people standing around doing NOTHING! I live in laconia btw... this company is a joke. On top of that I had a busby employee ride my bumper all the way down 106 from laconia to concord and I was going 10 over the entire time.. you people are the most rediculous road construction crew I have ever seen! What a joke! Laconia really should find a different company that has common sense."

"This company will rip up an entire street, take a whole season doing so and then repeat the same process on the same street. It makes you wonder what kind of operation they run or if they just milk contracts. Go through Laconia and see all of the horrible road jobs going on. Detour after detour. They make the roads look and feel worse than before. I suggest finding another company unless you don't mind the jobs to look like Syria or Baghdad."
