"I am in the market for Invisalign, and have been interviewing orthodontists to find the right match. I saw Dr Holland in Ipswich and initially liked his fairly low key approach ( compared to another local orthodontist who seemed to be more high- pressure). Plus he spent a lot of time with me. I was a little concerned that he told me that they might have to pull a tooth to relieve the crowding that, something that none of the other orthodontists had mentioned. ( I’m not sure what to think about this: could be that he was being honest while the others were not, I mean once they have you on the hook you will be less likely to change your mind, or that maybe he just wasn’t as skilled). However, after seeing him for the initial eval, he wanted me to have some X-rays and photos, which were billed at a little over $100. I was initially told that this would be applied to the total cost, should I decide to proceed with the process. I had to take the afternoon off and go to Newburyport . When I asked to confirm that the cost would be applied to the total, I was told that it wouldn’t. More upsetting was that the whole appointment took less than 10 min and Dr. Holland wasn’t even there. I could have done these photos and X-rays during the initial visit. There was no consideration for the value of my time. I was told that the information would be submitted to the company so that a proper estimate could be done. It has now been nearly two weeks and I haven’t heard a thing. I’m going to request a copy of the films, since I paid for them, and go somewhere else."
