Reviews of Springs Brook Park
"Springs Brook Park is truly a summer time gem. All the reviews saying how expensive it is, must not have seen the $2k+ price tags on gym pools and other summer clubs charge for a same length season, with way less stuff. There is so much here for kids to do; this is our 4th year (2019, 2021, 2022 and now 2023) and we absolutely love it. Shady area, huge splash pad, sandy beach, dock with a deeper area for jumping. There are a ton of lifeguards that rotate very frequently, and the management is friendly and helpful. We come to SBP from out of town, and recommend it to everyone. Plus it’s never that crowded; there’s ample parking and clean bathrooms. You’ll find me there most summer days!"
"I USED to enjoy this place as a child and have fond memories with my parents growing up , 10 years ago also great experience with my daughter . Now the place is all about $$$ just like everywhere else , no longer nostalgic or family friendly in my opinion, waaaaay overpriced , absolutely ridiculous!!!! I'll make new memories elsewhere with my family without paying over $500 , like seriously?!"
"Note to the general public: This place is NOT open to the public. You MUST be either a member of the park or a Bedford resident. The chain locked metal gate that blocks the entrance to the park will be a rude awakening to those who made the trip out here. If the park is for locals and paying individuals I am okay with that. I just wish that information was more readily available without making a trip to the park."
"Such a disappointment that you can't visit now as a non resident without a membership. Family membership is almost $500 which is absoutely insane! I've been a ton as a kid myself, and went once with my own son before you needed a membership. We LOVED it, I wanted to go again the next summer and when I checked online the admission rules were all changed. I get that the water was bad because of crowding etc etc but the family pass is unafforadble. Or you can get a "limited" family pass for a little less but then it's only weekdays after 4pm and weekends. During the summer when the kids are home all day who wants to go after 4pm only?? Such a shame. They could have at LEAST made the full day family membership 200-300 for non members which I would find reasonable. Who is going to pay $500 bucks for a few short summer months at spring brook park, when you will probably go, what? 10 times TOPS? So irritating. Maybe if you are a family of 5 or 6 I could see that price point but we have 1 kid. We're a family of 3, they should price it based on how many "members" you're signing up... Since over crowding seems to be their main point as to why they changed things."
"Clean, big, but not too big! We arrive at 10:30, when the parking lot isn't at full capacity yet. We pack a picnic lunch, but you can buy lunch there. There's beach around the whole man-made pool. Most of the pool is 2 feet, perfect for 1-2 year olds. There's a slide but you must be either 9 years old or have a life jacket (that must be "coast guard approved). The slide can be intimidating for some kids. Besides the pool there is an awesome water park where many of the young children hang out at. Next to that is a park with swings. This place is the kind of place where if you say you went there your friend most likely will say "LOVE that place!!" It's especially great if you get a group of 20 or more to go to get a discount!"
