"Had jury duty here on Thursday October 19,2023. I had such an amazing experience. Everyone from the maintenance person to the persons that screen you. To the two gentleman in the jury pool. Honestly, I was VERY apprehensive about going from past experience where everyone made you feel like you were the one that was being tried and wasn’t very supportive. But, yesterday was so much different. I am so happy to have had the experience. Thank you for showing me that doing a civil duty isn’t that scary. Incredible staff!!"

"A few things to note if you get called into Jury Duty: There IS free, public parking in front of the actual building. Otherwise, then garages charge around $10 for the day. They say it's for your "own risk" whatever that means, but cops are always in the area. Wear whatever you want, too. I went the business casual look and saw people in sweats, etc. Finally, bring a good pen - trust me."

"The Lowell Justice Center is an energy efficient courthouse overlooking the historic Hamilton Canal. The cutting-edge facility is being constructed for the Superior, District, Probate & Family, Juvenile, and Housing Courts of Middlesex County. A Law Library/Court Service Center and an office space for the District Attorney and Registry of Deeds will also be provided. The new building will replace a leased facility and 2 outdated state-owned courthouses. A goal in the design of this courthouse is to minimize the use of energy drawn from utility grids. The courthouse will be extremely energy efficient, with an expected LEED-platinum rating, and will feature a chilled beam HVAC system, photo-voltaic panels, and sophisticated building systems controls."
