"Really cool island with lots of history. It was once a lepers colony. It has some fascinating stories of the people who dwelled there at the time and since. The island is owned by the state of Massachusetts, and the school was still being used at the time of our visit. There are times of the year when there are too many nesting birds to allow an enjoyable visit. They will dive bomb you, chase you, and worse to protect their eggs."
