The Refuge is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and offers numerous opportunities to connect with nature. Our recent success in conservation efforts is highlighted by the 50 pairs of plovers nesting on the beach, resulting in 44 chicks successfully fledging. We invite you to join our team this school year to lead environmental education programs and nature-based outreach. As part of your visit, we encourage you to explore the diverse activities available within the Refuge. Please note that if you're purchasing passes at the Refuge, payment is accepted via cash or check only. It's advisable to call ahead to confirm availability, or you can conveniently purchase most passes online.

While Parker River NWR may occasionally close due to capacity or management requirements, rest assured there are numerous local beaches and recreation areas to explore.
