"Beautiful hike. They are rebuilding some of the elevated boardwalks so there is a portion of the trail that is taped off for the rebuilding. The observation tower yields a great view over a cedar swamp with abundant bird viewing opportunities. We saw King fishers, Egrets, Great Blue Herons, reticulated woodpecker, a red tailed hawk eating a snake, Osprey, Sea Gulls and Turkey Vultures in just our one short visit."
"Beautiful trails with informative markers about the terrain, the foliage, and the history of the area. Mostly clear but some areas overgrown/impassable. Nice view from the observation tower overlooking the tidal marsh. Several benches for resting and admiring scenery."
"Great place for a walk. The whole loop will take you about an hour, give or take, and clock in at about 3 miles. Get there early to see tons of deer. Keep your dogs on a leash if you bring them, no one wants your dog running up on them."
"What a cute place. Great trails and views. Parking is tight but worth finding a spot to go for the hike and climbing the tower. Very clean and easy to find the directions to go. A lot of posts with information about the trees or berries in the area."
"Overall a very nice park. Trails are mostly wide & clean. There aare a few areas that are rocky or have lots of roots exposed. Turns out there's a cute little lookout over a swamp area, the foliage view is great btw! Why I only rate it 4 star... There's supposed to be a blue trail somewhere but didn't see any signs for it. The map at the entrance shows it but the trail part seems to be not (well) marked?"
