"Last month I ordered an Italian Rum Cake for a birthday dinner. This is our family’s traditional birthday cake and Montilio’s has a good one. Unfortunately, the cake looked like a rum cake on the outside but was in fact a strawberry cake when cut. I called the store the next day and reported the problem. They were very responsive and offered a $25 credit on the cake. I don’t live near Hanover and asked if I could get a $25 refund instead. They were going to check and get back to me. Never heard from them again. It so happens that I was going to be in the area last week and called to check if my credit was available. It was not. I asked to speak to the manager I had spoken to previously and was told to call back the next day, which I did. I was told it was busy and to call back the next day. I opted to leave my name and number and requested a call back when it wasn’t busy. Three days later and I never received a call. I can understand that mistakes happen and that they don’t owe me anything. However, they should not have offered a credit if they did not keep their word. No more Montilio’s cakes for our family."

"Let’s be honest…. I could care less if the service was terrible and the atmosphere was terrible because the desserts and pastries I get there make me forget all the awful things in the world! But luckily, every aspect of Montilio’s is just as good as their products! And their products are DELICIOUS!!"
